The technical bit

The guest interface enables iOS device users to become part of your network. Guests can:

•participate in live chat forums between large groups of users
•receive rich text messages
•receive and complete examinations
•answer quick questions/votes
•complete and tick off tasks with completion notifications for the sender

The console interface enables ‘on the go’ control of your network. Privileged access users can:

•view groups as a collection of live thumbnails
•remote control client computers
•save screenshots locally
•lock/unlock client computer screens
•enable/disable internet access
•send messages
•run websites/files/programs remotely on clients
•end client sessions (log off, restart and shut down)
•view useful client information, such as operating system, IP address etc
•view recent policy violations
•create, save and send examinations to clients
•monitor the progress of client examinations in real time
•actions can be performed on single users or whole groups of users

Please note that this app requires you to have Impero version 4.0.22 or later installed on your workstations and an Impero version 4.0.22 or later server (as noted previously, versions as old as 3.201 should also work but are not officially supported).

Also note that, unlike typical Impero workstation installations, the app’s use is purely voluntary, which means you cannot force an iPad or iPhone user to view a broadcast, for example.
